Compassionate Content: Developing Social Resolution for Photos on Facebook

What would it be like to make Facebook more compassionate? This is the question that Diane and her team have been considering.

As a result they’re working on developing social resolution – a way for people who use Facebook to work out conflict together. To demonstrate how this concept of social resolution is being applied to Facebook, Diane will talk about the photos reporting process, and will explain how developing a content strategy based on compassion was the foundation for this work.

She’ll share research findings, talk about the experience of working with social scientists to write the content, and tell us what’s next for social resolution and Facebook. And of course, she’ll highlight all of the challenges they faced along the way.

      What you will learn:

      - How social resolution works
      - The process of developing compassionate content
      - How people react to drastic changes in content
